Emico Holdings Bhd emerged as the most actively traded stock on Bursa Malaysia on Thursday.
This comes after the company's stock trading volume quadrupled the previous day as the counter jumped above 40 cents for the first time in two weeks.
As at 3.40pm, Emico shares were up around 5 sen or 14.67% to 43 sen, with a market value recorded at RM52.05 million based on the company's 122.75 million issued shares.
The last time the stock price closed above 40 sen was on September 29, 2021, which is when it traded at 41.5 sen.
Emico Holdings Bhd is a company engaged in the business of manufacturing and selling cups, property development, contract manufacturer of furniture and home furniture products.
Broadly speaking, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) traded down 9.10 points ahead of today's close of trading at 1,591.28.
