Astar Network, Acala Network & Moonbeam Compete for Polkadot Parachain Slots

The Polkadot parachain auction is still underway, witnessing competition of projects from its ecosystem for the slots on offer.

For now, the three main networks leading the race are:

Acala Network (number of DOTs locked in: 30.7 million)

Moonbeam (number of DOTs locked in: 30.6 million)

Astar Network (number of DOTs locked: 6.6 million)

For information, Astar Network received support from DFG Group with an allocation of 300,000 DOT ($ 12.65 million or RM52.64 million) in support to win the parachain auction.

DFG itself has actually made an agreement to allow consumers to participate in parachain auctions conducted simultaneously in Polkadot and Kusama through Bifrost’s Slot Auction Liquidity Protocol (SALP).

They are said to be early investors for several ‘budding’ networks including Polkadot, Kusama, Avalanche, Solana, and Near.

While Astar Network was developed with the aim of establishing a decentralized application hub in Polkadot that supports Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and Web Assembly -based smart contracts.

Astar also resolves critical issues of interoperability and Polkadot’s connection with Ethereum, which will bring an increase in the number of experienced teams to this ecosystem.
