IOI Corp Bhd has insisted that their company has nothing to do with the non-fungible token (NFT) IOI Token and also rejects any online investment scheme regarding the company.
Citing a source from The Edge, the group denied any affiliation with IOI Token and stated that they would take the necessary action against scams regarding any online investment scheme using their name.
IOI Corp is a palm oil industrial coglomerate listed on Bursa Malaysia.
While IOI Token is a form of cryptocurrency issued by Qorpo Market with a trading price of US $ 4.21 and a market capitalization of US $ 30 million.
One website predicted about IOI Tokens for three years in a row, stating that the market will never be stable or the market will always be volatile so the price of cryptocurrencies also fluctuates with the market due to market volatility.
As at noon on Monday 29 November, IOI Corp shares ended 7 sen lower or 1.87% at RM3.68 with a market capitalization of RM23.13 billion.
