TNB Issues RM3 Billion Sukuk

 TNB has increased 'Nur' recently.


Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) has issued Islamic bonds or stakes worth RM3 billion for 4 divisions under the Islamic Medium Term Notes (IMTN) on Thursday, November 25.


According to the Bond and Sukuk Information Exchange (BIX), the 4 divisions of TNB's IMTN have a tenure of 7 years to 20 years with an annual paid profit rate of between 3.92% and 4.67%.



The 4 parts of the proposed IMTN consist of:


IMTN worth RM300 million for a period of 7 years with an annual profit rate of 3.92% which will mature by 24 November 2028

IMTN worth RM300 million for a period of 10 years with an annual profit rate of 4.08% which will mature by 25 November 2028

IMTN is worth RM1.2 billion for a period of 15 years with an annual profit rate of 4.47% which will mature by 25 November 2036

IMTN is worth RM1.2 billion for a period of 20 years with an annual profit rate of 4.67% which will mature by 25 November 2041

BIX added that all 4 schemes issued by TNB have been given an AAA rating from RAM Rating.


As of noon, TNB shares were trading at RM9.41 with a market value of RM53.83 billion.
