 Facebook..eh, no.

Meta finally opened up cryptocurrency advertising opportunities after banning any crypto -related elements on its social media platform, Facebook in 2018.

The decision was announced yesterday.

Meta explained they have now streamlined the criteria required for each cryptocurrency advertising by adding legal licensing from three to 27 items.

Not only that, the crypto sector is seen to be growing over the past year and regulators around the world have drafted clearer crypto laws.

Although crypto-related legislation has not yet been fully implemented, but at least there have been improvements on crypto laws that were previously vague and had no fixed direction.

This means, crypto companies interested in advertising their products on Facebook no matter related to exchanges, loan applications, wallets, and mining software will need to submit 27 approved licenses.

Meta began blocking crypto advertising on Facebook on January 30, 2018 because it wanted to protect amateur investors who only rely on social media to make investments.

Be aware, social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok are often targeted by influencers to confuse crypto investors.

For example, influencers in TikTok shill dubious coins until the presence of so-called contagious assets and record high values.
