Former President of the United States (POTUS), Donald Trump once again criticized the cryptocurrency.
Ironically, Melania Trump had launched the first non-fungible token (NFT) a few days before the figure’s statement got media attention.
In a Fox Business interview on Dec. 20, Trump warned and called crypto assets dangerous:
“I have never liked crypto because the dollar is better. I want our currency in dollars. Maybe crypto will explode and people will despise it. I think crypto is very dangerous. ”
The first time Trump shared his opinion on this crypto asset was in July 2019 via a tweet on the social media site Twitter:
“I am not a fan of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies because it is not money. The value is very unstable and it is very easy to carry out criminal activities. "
However, the tweet is no longer available on Twitter following Trump's restrictions on the use of social media.
At the same time, Trump also supported and praised his wife who has launched NFT on the Solana blockchain. The launch of the NFT was announced via Melania's official tweet on Friday:

The NFT is a painting art featuring a pair of eyes belonging to Melania and is traded on 1 SOL from December 16 to December 31, 2021.
However a Solana spokesperson revealed that they had nothing to do with the project.
