Dated December 27, the sports car racing division of Scuderia Ferrari has entered into a partnership with Velas Network AG.

It is understood this collaboration will support the provision of digital content for Scuderia fans and Velas will be the main sponsor for Ferrari’s e-sports series.
For the record Velas Network is a Solana fork (SOL) developed with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) integration and was launched in 2019.
At the same time, Ferrari explained that Velas will also be collaborating with the Ferrari Maranello team.
Not sure if this collaboration also involves NFT or a blockchain-based promotional concept but the car company has explained the sponsorship of the Ferrari e-sports series.
Following this announcement, the native token Velas (VLX) recorded a jump of almost 40%, to the level of $ 0.45 on December 27 from $ 0.32 on December 26.
Anyway, Ferrari is the latest transportation manufacturer to join the NFT industry after Porsche and the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 which did so in mid-June and late September.
Not to be outdone McLaren Racing and Lamborghini also joined NFT this year through a partnership with the Tezos (XTZ) network in June 2021.
