Remember you became a millionaire, but apparently CoinMarketCap (CMC) gave false hope by displaying the price of Bitcoin (BTC) worth $ 850 trillion per unit.
Similarly, the prices of Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Stellar (XLM), Solana (SOL), and Shiba Inu (SHIB), each recorded an absurd spike that almost made its investors millionaires overnight.
What happen?
In an official tweet around 6am Malaysian time, CoinMarketCap revealed that its team of engineers was working to fix the situation after its website was attacked by a bug.
The incident brought Ethereum to overtake Bitcoin at $ 179.598 trillion per unit. Followed by some other coins such as:
Interestingly, the error that occurred in CoinMarketCap also showed an impact on several other crypto exchange platforms such as Binance and Coinbase.
However, both platforms also had to reboot the provider (servers) to ensure the situation returned to normal.
Just like Elon Musk who was also 'surprised' to be a quadrilionair, so are we.
Almost want to withdraw, run abroad, and start a new life as Malaysia's richest millionaire.
The fact is, the error only occurs on crypto platforms and the value of the assets still remains at the original value.
