Elon Musk added a thread in the tweet by saying ‘Don’t waste your money on Apple Cloth nonsense, buy our whistle better’.
The tweet was an insinuation addressed to the iPhone maker who released a piece of microfiber cloth worth US $ 9 last month.
The Cyberwhistle was inspired by the design of the Cybertruck, a pickup truck announced by Musk 2 years ago and expected to be released this year but moved to next year due to several factors.
According to Tesla’s website, the limited edition Cyberwhistle is a premium collection made from manufacturing -grade stainless steel with a polished finish and integrated attachment features for added flexibility.
The Cyberwhistle is placed under the lifestyle product category on Tesla's website which includes items such as decanters worth $ 150, cups with the ‘S3XY’ logo worth $ 30 and several diecast models of the company's vehicles.
In the meantime, a few months ago Elon Musk was involved in a lawsuit over allegations of sexual harassment and racist abuse at a Fremont plant in California.
Jessica Barraza, who works night shifts at the factory, said she suffered from ‘almost daily’ catcall and sexual harassment while Owen Diaz, an African-American worker, said she was abused because of racial animosity.
Tesla disputed the determination but admitted that they were ‘imperfect’.
