Wikipedia is also selling non-fungible tokens (NFT), marking the platform's first record for joining the NFT ecosystem.

It is understood Christie's nurse house has targeted 'The Birth of Wikipedia' which has Wikipedia's first edited NFT and the Strawberry iMac used by Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales.

It is understood the NFT was edited by Wales: “Hello, World!”, after the launch of Wikipedia on 15 January 2001.

Both assets are sold at the following price tag:

Wikipedia's NFT: $750,000 (RM3,155 million)

Strawberry iMac: $187,500 (RM786.709)

Interestingly about the NFT, it still maintains the main page layout used in 2001, based on the earliest source code.

While the Strawberry iMac was used by Wales for staging and monitoring Wikipedia pages.

Maybe without the iMac, Wikipedia would never exist and we don't even know the most famous sites to 'poke' resources. Thanks, Wikis!
