7 Apple stores in New York City have been closed due to the increase in cases of the Omicron Covid-19 variant that is rampant in the United States (US).
According to Apple Inc. representatives, the stores ordered to close are on Fifth Avenue, Grand Central and SoHo and customers can only purchase Apple products online for now.
Earlier this month, Apple had to temporarily close 3 of its stores in the US and Canada due to the rise of Covid-19 cases and its employees who were vulnerable to the spread.
For the same reason, Apple has issued a mandate that employees and customers must wear face protection when entering the premises.
Meanwhile, Apple shares rose 2.30% with a market value of US $ 2.96 trillion.
