Sad news for Solana (SOL) investors.
The network is once again facing a DDoS attack, making this the third time attack!
It is understood the attack took place today, forcing the Solana network offline before returning to normal operations four hours later.
However, as of the writing of this article, there is still no official statement from the Solana Foundation.
But the Solana community on the r/CryptoCurrency subreddit confirmed and reported the incident.
They also on average put this blame on the perpetrators because they believe Solana has been developed sustainably.
The first time Solana was attacked by DDoS was in September 2021. At that time, the network was facing network instability for 45 minutes due to massive botting activities against the initial DEX offering (IDO), Raydium.
The second time occurred on December 10, witnessing DDoS attacks in Solana for more than 24 hours. The network is facing transaction processing problems causing most of it to be delayed.
The incident impacted the SOL price, declining to a daily low, $ 166 before rising back to a value of $ 171.09, declining more than 2% in 24 hours at the time of writing the article.
