 AirAsia X (AAX) will resume its commercial flights between Kuala Lumpur and Sydney from February 14.


According to a statement issued on Monday (January 31), the airline will prioritize full redemption for its passengers affected by their restructuring.


Adding to the statement, AAX customers can return their flight bookings and use their credit account to book flights.


In a note issued by the company, its flights will start operating weekly on Sundays from Kuala Lumpur to Sydney and back on Mondays, from February 14 to March 22.



Furthermore, the fare offered starts from RM1,399 one way including (luggage registration, a set of meals and a drink) for economy class or RM3,999 for guests who want to experience sleeping on a premium plane bed.


Meanwhile, from Sydney to Kuala Lumpur, the fare starts from US $ 399 (approximately (RM1,171.26) and US $ 1,299 one way including all privileges.


AXX chief executive officer Benyamin Ismail said with the absence of domestic routes, the airline had faced severe challenges due to Covid-19 but now it had the opportunity and would work hard to operate in all major markets as one of the leading low-cost medium distance operators. the world.


As of noon today, the AXX was trading down 0.5 sen or 10% at 4.5 sen with a market capitalization of RM186.67 million.
