Last Monday, there was a stir with several major publications reporting that the clothing retail giant, H&M, had opened a 3D store in the metaverse world. Among those who reported it were newspapers such as the Economic Times and Mashable India.

As we all know H&M (Hennes & Mauritz) is a fashion and apparel company that has now spread its wings around the world. It is one of the largest clothing brands in the world, so far, H&M has also had 4,856 stores worldwide. Its largest markets are Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Sweden, Russia, Italy and the Netherlands.

So it is no wonder that all their actions became the attention of the masses, let alone when there was an announcement that they had plunged into the metaverse world. However, the company has denied reports that it has opened a store in the metaverse. According to an H&M spokesperson explained:

"We would like to confirm that, at this time, H&M is not opening a store in Metaverse."

Based on false reports, the company allegedly said that customers can explore their stores in the meta world, including choosing products and even buying them in the Ceek City universe. Payment must be made with a ceek token (CEEK). Ceek’s virtual reality environment has also been governed by smart contracts on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC).

In addition, the false report also claimed that customers would be able to order clothes seen in H&M’s metaverse store from its physical store.

Rumors that H&M will open a store in the metaverse follow a tweet by Ceek's official Twitter account. The company also said it was creating a "VR concept store" that will be presented to H&M.

However, an H&M spokesman said "We are also not working with Ceek."

Last Monday, the official Twitter account for Ceek later explained that, “The H&M store in the Ceek metaverse is just a concept presented to H&M and not a real virtual store anymore. We are in talks with certain parties at H&M to realize this, but this is not a reality so far. ”
