Gucci’s exploration in the world of non-fungible tokens (NFT) continued to expand, as the world’s leading fashion brand partnered with Superplastic to launch the ‘SuperGucci’ NFT collection.

For reference, Superplastic is one of the world's largest digital character branding firms.

Receiving touches from Gucci’s Creative Director, Alessandro Michele and Superplastic, the collection’s theme focuses on a combination of classic Gucci motifs and designs with Superplastic’s digital characters, namely Janky & Guggimon.

SuperGucci will be minted for 250 units of NFT and issued three times.

A total of 10 items will be launched on February 1 in the first partnership, where each is accompanied by an exclusive ceramic sculpture made by Gucci ceramics specialist in Italy.

It is understood that this SuperGucci project was launched through Superplastic and can be accessed through ‘Vault’.

Vault is an online conceptual platform or store which houses the collection and various NFTs along with important information related to it.

Meanwhile, Vault also launched a sale of used vintage items from the restored Gucci archives and also come in unique packaging.

For the record, Gucci last year auctioned the NFT Gucci Aria collection at Christie’s for $ 25,000, making it one of the most expensive items the luxury brand has ever sold.
