Based on the latest observations, the third largest group/individual of bitcoin whales has returned and today it has made its first massive purchase in 2022.
Data from Bitinfocharts revealed that the third largest bitcoin address added 456 BTC at an average price of $ 46,363 on January 4th.
The purchase is worth about $ 21 million. This is the first major purchase on behalf of this entity which also bought 6 BTC 55 minutes ahead of the new year.
At the time of writing, this whales entity has amassed 120,845.57 BTC worth over $ 5.6 billion. In other words, it takes full advantage of volatile price fluctuations. Currently the Bitcoin price is trading slightly stronger with a 0.47% price jump at the $ 47,123.77 price level.
