Alamak Pharmaniaga lost this important person!
Pharmaniaga Bhd chairman Datuk Seri Shazalli Ramly has resigned as a non -independent author with Datuk Seri Zainal Abidin Rafique taking over the post.
According to exchange filings, the resignation took effect on February 1, 2022.
Future chairman Zainal Abidin, who is the Bukit Bintang division UMNO chief, currently holds several directorships at Boustead Petroleum Marketing Sdn Bhd, Clock Tower Hotel Sdn Bhd and QI - pmc Sdn Bhd.
In a separate note, the group also announced the reappointment of independent director Zulkifli Jaafar as executive director.
For the record, Shazalli was appointed as the non -independent non -executive chairman of the pharmaceutical group on 1 March 2021 after 3 months of being appointed as the managing director of Boustead Holdings Bhd and he is also a board member of Boustead Heavy Industries Corp Bhd as a non -independent and non -executive director.
In addition, he also served as managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) of Telekom Malaysia Bhd from April 2017 to June 2018, regional CEO and corporate executive vice president of Axiata Group Bhd from 2016 to 2017 and board member of Malaysia Airline System. Bhd as well as the Proton Holdings Bhd special task force.
Meanwhile, in the afternoon session, Pharmaniaga shares traded down 0.5 sen or 0.7% to 71 sen with a market capitalization of RM930.07 million.
