Netmarble, a gaming company from South Korea, announced a strategy on cryptocurrencies and play-to-earn (P2E) as well as plans to issue its own cryptocurrency.
Netmarble chief executive officer Kwon Young-Sik noted that his company is preparing to issue and list crypto tokens that will be used as the primary currency in Netmarble-released games.
In short, Netmarble has a market capitalization of US $ 10 billion and it is one of the growing video game companies from South Korea in the world of bloackchain and metaverse games.
Meanwhile, Kwon added, Netmarble is targeting to re -list ITAM CUBE, the cryptocurrency for blockchain game ITAM Games acquired by Netmarble earlier in the year after it was delisted from the Upbit exchange early last year.
In addition, the game company also aims to launch a P2E game titled, Everybody’s Marble: Metaworld this year to the global market due to South Korean restrictions and regulations that restrict the production of P2E games.
In the meantime, Netmarble has collaborated with Marvel Entertainment by releasing a Marvel superhero concept game, Marvel Future Fight.
