Based on Bloomberg Billionaires Index records, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (also known as ‘CZ’) was named the richest individual in Asia with a fortune worth $ 96 billion, excluding his cryptocurrency assets.

The 44-year-old CZ is now ranked 11th out of the 500 richest people worldwide, making Mark Zuckerberg and Larry Page his rivals.

For now, Tesla CEO Elon Musk still tops the list of world millionaires with an estimated fortune of $ 263 billion.

Zhao’s journey before becoming one of the world’s millionaires was very long as the figure began with a career at McDonald’s which later opened the world’s largest crypto exchange platform, Binance.

Undoubtedly, Binance’s success contributed to CZ’s wealth. In fact, efforts to make Binance legally accepted and operational in several countries have further sparked the attention of crypto investors around the world.

Most recently, Binance has bought Visa service provider, Swipe. The company has operations in over 70 countries around the world.

At the same time, Binance has also launched a $ 1 billion initiative fund for the growth of the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) ecosystem.

CZ uploaded a tweet that read, “Don't worry about the status of the position. Focus on how much you can help. ” and the latest, "There should be no ranking of wealth but there should be a ranking of charities and donations."

Unpopular opinion: instead of wealth rankings, there should be a ranking of charity and philanthropy efforts.
