Apple is now the most valuable company in the world.
Apple Inc eventually reached a market value of US $ 3 trillion or RM12.52 trillion and directly became the first company in the world to reach the level of 3 trillion dollars.
On the first day of the 2022 trading session, the iPhone maker reached a daily record high of US $ 182.88, reaching a market value of US $ 3 trillion.
Apple now surpasses Microsoft Corp, Alphabet Inc, Amazon.com and Tesla Inc which are still at a market value of over US $ 2 trillion.
Apple’s brief history began when former CEO Steve Jobs launched its first iPhone in January 2007 and its stock has grown by 5,800% to date.
In comparison, the S&P 500 has only posted a 230% gain from 2007 to date.
Later, Tim Cook took over after the sudden death of Steve Job and helped Apple soar even further with revenue from services like video streaming and music.
Meanwhile, Apple shares closed slightly lower on the day it recorded a market value of US $ 3 trillion but investors remained optimistic about the iPhone company which will launch more new products such as automated cars and virtual reality.
