Due to the sudden spread of the Omicron variant in the United States (US), Goldman Sachs Group Inc. is encouraging employees in the US to work from home until January 18th.
The U.S. government’s proposed return to office plan had to be changed to follow current conditions and employees had to adhere to precautionary measures such as vaccination requirements, booster dose requirements effective Feb. 1, bi-weekly detection tests effective Jan. 10 and mandatory face protection.
Of late financial firms have struggled with unusual business conditions as well as ways of communicating with their staff but Goldman’s offices will continue to operate as usual and will continue to run the strict Covid-19 security protocol.
Meanwhile, JPMorgon Chase & Co also allowed its employees to return to the office but a report last week found that the firm had changed the return date to the office on February 1.
