The famous non-fungible token (NFT) collection, CryptoPunks is suddenly rumored not to be up for auction at Sotheby’s.
It is understood that the collection, named ‘Punk It!’ Is a lot containing 104 CryptoPunks belonging to the collector - 0X650d.
Initially, the collection was scheduled to go on sale on Feb. 8 at a price tag of $ 30 million (RM125.7 million).
But somehow, the original owner of the collection decided to HODL.

For the record, the 0X650d got this collection in July 2021. At the time it was priced at only $ 7 million in one transaction.
Meanwhile, since CryptoPunks launched in 2017, Larva Labs has generated a profit of up to 683,000 ETH (RM6,950,205,598.47).
If the 0X650d goes ahead with the auction, this will be the second time Sotheby’s has bid for NFT digital art after 101 Bored Apes Yacht Club sold out in September 2021.
