Menara Telekom Malaysia Bhd or Menara TM was sold at an unspecified price tag.
According to an advertisement featured in StarBiz dated Feb. 9, the sale of the tower was conducted through an expression of interest and the closing date of the first stage sale was March 18 at 12 noon.
A brief history, the 55 -storey tower located at Jalan Pantai Baharu, Kuala Lumpur was designed by Hijjas Kasturi Associate and completed in 2001. It cost US $ 160 million at the time and was developed by Telekom Research & Development Sdn Bhd.
The TM Tower was officially launched in 2003 by the then prime minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammed and it serves as TM's headquarters in addition to holding the status of MSC, a symbol of international service awarded by the Malaysian government.
