Turning to the Russia-Ukraine issue, California is reportedly drafting a bill to legalize crypto as a legal currency.
The ‘Senate Bill 1275’, introduced on February 18, allows Californians to pay for government services using cryptocurrencies.
This means, all government agencies in the country have to accept crypto assets as a method of payment for any services offered.
Interestingly, after this California residents will also have the opportunity to pay their taxes in cryptocurrency in the near future.
Even so, the government will first convert it to fiat currency for national savings.
For the record, this effort has already been introduced in Arizona, Illinois, and Wyoming.
This is reminiscent of California’s goal of wanting to be a crypto city by 2024. There will probably be many more crypto -related projects launched in the country in the future.
