Maybe getting married when the Movement Control Order (PKP) wasn’t exciting enough, the couple chose to get married in the metaverse!
The bride and groom - Ryan and Candice Hurley had their wedding in the metaverse, Decentraland on February 5 as the whole world was in turmoil with the Omicron variant.
It is understood the wedding was the first to be celebrated in Decentraland.

The couple was celebrated with 2,000 guests, along with a high -ranking witness, supreme court official Clint Bolick.
Not only that, they also appointed Rose Law Group to legalize the marriage.
For information, the ceremony was held at the Rose Law Group plot in Decentraland. The company has already developed a meta-marriage framework by incorporating an ‘Eye Pre-Marriage Agreement’ that will verify the couple’s virtual identity and digital assets to be recorded on the blockchain.
Is the marriage valid?
According to the company, for now there is still no legal framework for getting married in the metaverse.
In fact, most states in the United States (US) have not yet allowed any couple to be married virtually or executed while the couple is in a different place.
But Rose claims, the union of a legal spouse is dependent on the contract.
Elsewhere - India, a couple from Tamil Nadu: Dinesh SP and Janaganandhini Ramaswamy performed a Hogwarts -themed wedding reception in the metaverse developed by TardiVerse on 6 February.
