Is Nintendo interested in joining the metaverse and non-fungible token (NFT) markets?
In a Twitter share, MST Financial analyst David Gibson has shared Nintendo’s views on this crypto industry technology.
It is understood Nintendo is interested in the evolution of technology related to metaverse and NFT.
But they still have not made any decision whether to join NFT and metaverse or not. Instead, they are still exploring the interests of gaming fans to offer more attractive products.
As you know, Nintendo aims to "what joy we can provide" to its fans and players.
As a result, these video game manufacturers chose to be cautious in introducing NFT or the start of integration with the metaverse even though most gaming entertainment companies have already made strides.
One of them is Ubisoft which announced the development of the NFT platform ‘Ubisoft Quartz’, and Castlevania game maker Konami wants to launch its own NFT collection.
Not enough of that, Microsoft has bought Activision Blizzard and confirmed that Xbox will start focusing on metaverse projects.
However, Ubisoft’s decision in introducing Quartz and Digits has invited criticism among its community. This has led Ubisoft executive Nicolas Pouard to argue that gamers still do not understand the advantages of NFT.
Maybe that's how Nintendo feels. Many aspects need to be considered, including the views of the community.
