Recent reports from major newspapers such as Reuter reported that Russia is ready to send a delegation to the Belarusian capital Minsk to hold talks with Ukraine, a Kremlin spokesman said on Friday. The statement came as President Vladimir Putin told his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping that Russia was ready to conduct serious talks with Ukraine.
A spokesman for Dmitry Peskov told Russian news agencies that Russia was ready to send a delegation including foreign and defense ministry officials. On the Ukrainian side, they have previously expressed readiness to discuss the conflict so that a consensus can be reached.
Peskov noted the withdrawal or withdrawal of military groups is an important part to be discussed. Chinese President Xi Jinping, in a call with Vladimir Putin stated that he supports resolving the Ukraine crisis through talks.
