The Walt Disney Company is among the giant companies that are currently in the process of stepping into the world of NFT and the metaverse. It was recently found on a job search website there was an advertisement that Disney was looking for a development manager to manage the multinational company in the NFT space. Marvel, one of Disney’s entertainment conglomerates, has previously explored NFT through a partnership with Veve to sell Marvel NFT.
Through the latest job offer, Disney revealed that the U.S. -based entertainment and media conglomerate is looking to hire a business development manager responsible for the company’s “digital experience strategy”.
This latest development comes in the wake of Disney granting metaverse technology licenses to their friend's parks. Among other tasks that will be in charge is on the company's NFT strategy.
On the other hand, Marvel has become the first member of the Disney conglomerate to successfully enter the NFT space. Last June, Marvel partnered with VeVe to allow fans to officially purchase the Marvel NFT digital collection.
Like Disney, several other giant companies have also expressed their interest in exploring the field of NFT. Recently, Twitter also posted job listings for managers for their NFT division. YouTube and its parent company Google, as well as Meta, have also expressed interest in the web 3.0 marketplace.
