One of Musk's 77 million Twitter followers has asked if he was playing around with the challenge, but Musk said he was 'serious'.
Musk was also seen provoking by asking if Putin was brave enough to take up his challenge and said if the President easily humiliated the West, then he must accept the challenge.
So far, the Kremlin has not responded to the challenge.
However, Ramzan Kadyrov, the Chechen leader, responded to the tweet in the Telegram in a mocking tone stating that the weight category (referring to Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) weight) is both different and advised Musk to forget that wish because Putin is not his opponent.
