Kiln Testing Goes Smoothly, Ethereum 2.0 Expected To Arrive This June!

It is only a matter of time before Ethereum enters the era of the Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism based on Kiln's status which was already broadcast yesterday Malaysian time.

Kiln, the next iteration of Ethereum merge testnets, is now live 🔥🧱

Highly recommended that node operators, application developers, stakers, tooling/infra providers test their setups on the network. Blog post has all the info to get started 😁https: //t.co/TCHBZxcFlt

Kiln refers to the general testnet launched on Friday as a marker to the merger between Ethereum and the Beacon Chain (now known: the consensus layer/consensus layer).

The kiln was also the last testnet that resembled the mainnet ecosystem before the transition to PoS actually took place.

The Ethereum Foundation encourages developers at Ethereum and node operators to conduct testing on the Kiln to ensure a smooth transition through existing products.

Since Kiln ‘mimics’ Ethereum’s features, it operates using Proof of Work (PoW) before the mainnet fully switches to PoS in June 2022, starting at Beacon Chain.

Meanwhile, Ethereum’s staking record in the Beacon Chain has already surpassed 10 million ETH based on Launchpad statistics.

At the time of writing, an ETH unit is worth $ 2,549 (RM10,722); means that the total value that has been staked is RM 112,429,978,805.
