Visa, Mastercard, JP Morgan welcomed American Express’s presence in the Web 3.0 world after the world’s second -largest payment service filed seven trademark applications for the virtual service and its official ‘Centurian’ logo.
Based on an application submitted to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office dated March 9, it is enough to prove American Express’s excitement to explore Web 3.0 technology through the use of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) devices.
Among the details of the trademark application by the service include:

Tourism
Hospitality services
Virtual space for entertainment and recreation activities
NFT market platform
American Express also includes their plans for the future, involving:
Offering wallet services for digital and blockchain assets
Virtual currency exchange platform
Utility and digital token trading services
In fact American Express has long joined the NFT phenomenon through the promotion of a limited edition 14 NFT member card featuring international artist, SZA in June 2021.
