Sorry Ukraine! - Binance, KuCoin Disagree To Block Access In Russia

The world's largest crypto exchange platform, Binance decided not to block Russian users as requested by the Ukrainian deputy president yesterday.

In an official statement, Mikhail Fedorov has urged major crypto exchanges around the world to stop accessing Russia as a sign of global unification in the fight against terrorism taking place in the country.

I'm asking all major crypto exchanges to block addresses of Russian users.

It's crucial to freeze not only the addresses linked to Russian and Belarusian politicians, but also to sabotage ordinary users.

But the request apparently had to be rejected by Binance as its spokesperson explained:

"We will not be biased by blocking user accounts that have nothing to do with this war. The presence of crypto offers financial freedom for the whole world. ”

Even so, Binance agrees to comply with specific user account restriction instructions, rather than comprehensively for every resident of Russia.

At the same time, Binance has already made an official contribution of $ 10 million to Ukraine.

Another influential crypto exchange platform, Kraken and KuCoin are also of the same opinion as refusing to block any accounts that are not directly involved in the two countries ’war.

So far Russia is still attacking Ukraine but it seems that the country’s progress is already quite limited with the support of major powers such as the United Kingdom (UK) and the United States (US).

Several banks in Russia are also rumored to have been targeted for dropping from SWIFT.
