Russia has imposed sanctions on U.S. President Joe Biden and 12 other U.S. officials on Tuesday.
In a statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday, the move would result in those involved not being allowed to enter the country from March 15.
In addition, the move would also freeze any assets of the individuals involved held in the country.
Nevertheless, Russia does not refuse to maintain formal relations with affected individuals if it is in the national interest and they are ready for any negotiations to resolve problems that arise at the highest level.

The ministry said that wider sanctions would be imposed on more top U.S. officials, military officials, lawmakers, members of the media who incite hatred against Russia.
