 UAE -based grocery delivery service YallaMarket today announced that their company has started accepting cryptocurrencies as a payment method.


Reportedly at present, the company only accepts Tether stablecoin (USDT) and USD Coin (USDC) as a form of crypto payment. In addition, the company also plans to accept crypto investments from partners and investors in the Middle East and North Africa region. Not only that. YallaMarket also plans to pay salaries in digital assets in the future.


YallaMarket is the fastest growing grocery delivery service company in Dubai. By offering crypto alternative payment options, it will benefit their customers. Plus the development of crypto in the UAE is accelerating.



Leo Dovbenko, CEO and co -founder of YallaMarket, stressed the company believes in blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies. The development of crypto will also benefit YallaMarket.


The grocery delivery service has partnered with CoinMENA, a Bahrain -based Shariah -compliant crypto exchange in launching crypto -based payment options.


Talal Tabbaa, CEO of CoinMENA, believes the acceptance of crypto payments in the future will be more widespread. Earlier, grocery delivery services had announced their plans to expand into Saudi Arabia and Qatar.


The growing popularity and demand for crypto, NFT, and metaverse has prompted governments to introduce crypto -friendly rules and policies. Several leading crypto exchanges including FTX, Binance, and BitOasis have chosen to open offices in the UAE.
