Twitter Founder's First NFT Twit Bought For Nearly RM12 Million, But Now Stuck?

Do you remember the first tweet belonging to Twitter founder Jack Dorsey that sold out as NFT in March 2021?

The tweet was bought by Oracle Bridge CEO, Sina Estavi for almost RM12 million!

Maybe you think the value of the NFT is getting more expensive at the moment but based on the latest developments, the Malaysian entrepreneur failed to get a bid that is higher than the purchase price.

Oops! What happen?

On April 7, Estavi had uploaded a tweet on his Twitter page, announcing his intention to sell the first NFT twit from Dorsey.

According to him, 50% of the profits received will be donated to a charity, GiveDirectly.

However, when this article was written, the author found that the average purchase value offered was around 0.0019 ETH (RM25.06)-2 ETH (RM26,388) only.

It is a very large gap, 99900% lower than the previous price, RM11,969,181.88.

Not sure when the first tweet will be transferred, but Estavi told if he accepts a better offer, he will sell it or if not, he will just keep it.

Perhaps the popularity of the NFT is waning because it failed to bring sentimental value to impress fans. Probably also because the issue with Estavi started last year.

For information, on May 18, 2021, Estavi was detained in Iran on the order of the Special Economic Crimes Court for allegedly wanting to destroy the country’s economic system.

Not only that, Bitcoin.com co -founder Mate Tokay once sued Estavi for failing to get compensation as an advisor to the Bridge project and his name was misused in Bridge Token (BRG) marketing.

Worse, Bridge users also threw similar accusations, claiming Estavi had twisted information and deceived them on Twitter.

Estavi has already been released and found trying to fix what has happened. Unfortunately, the rice has become porridge. No one wants to believe it anymore even though it is rumored to be launching the latest crypto project.
