The world's technology giant, Google has announced plans to engage the world of Web 3.0, following in the footsteps of other firms such as Amazon and Microsoft.

Under the cloud computing service, Google Cloud, a new department has been established with a focus on blockchain infrastructure development.

According to a statement from the deputy president, Amit Zavery via an email to all his staff, the decision taken does not mean they will venture into the field of crypto:

“We will not be part of the crypto wave. Instead we provide technology for companies to use and leverage Web3's capabilities for current business and retail. ”

Zavery is confident Google is able to set up a system that makes it easier for users to explore the existence of blockchain data through simple and easy-to-understand disclosures, again when it involves node processing, the need in authentication with transaction storage.

Undoubtedly this is a long-term plan as blockchain based applications will sooner or later be the choice of most industries including financial services and retail.

Earlier in January, Google Cloud had unveiled the digital assets team’s plans to work with users as the growth of the NFT sector is booming.

They also unabashedly reveal are exploring the best ways to connect consumers with digital payments in cryptocurrencies.
