Temasek Holdings revealed they have no holdings in a crypto asset, Bitcoin (BTC).

However fund management director Pradyumna Agrawal revealed they are active with blockchain investing and are looking for opportunities in the industry.

The explanation of this figure also erases the speculation linking Temasek with the purchase of a number of BTC last year:

"We are not interested in commenting on the fake news."

But Temasek did not hesitate to support any blockchain project seen as potential.

For example in February, the firm led a $ 200 million fundraiser in cryptocurrencies led by Amber Group.

Not only that, Temasek was also involved in a Series C fundraiser of $ 200 million in March for Australian non-fungible token (NFT) company, Immutable.

Interestingly, Temasek has signaled their readiness to manage the tokenized assets:

"It is already in our mandate to have tokens. But of course we need to have a different set of infrastructure than we do now. In any case, we need time to assess whether the management is in line with the operational risk requirements that can be done on a scale. ”

Apart from Temasek, another Singapore fund management company, GIC is also said to be eyeing opportunities in the blockchain industry.

It is understood GIC has invested in crypto exchange platform, Coinbase and Hong Kong digital asset company, BC Group.

GIC has also led a $ 170 million Series F fundraiser for blockchain analytics company, Chainalysis.
