‘Is there a quarrel between Apple and some other companies to the point of not wanting to join?’

The tech giant began forming an industry standards (regulatory) oversight group involving the metaverse in an effort to make the digital world between companies compatible with each other, but Apple Inc. was no exception.

The formation of the group was announced at the Metaverse Standards Forum event which aims to create a ‘real -world network of operations’ in the metaverse to facilitate communication between various companies.

Among the tech giants involved are Meta Platform Inc., Microsoft Corp., space firms, gaming chip manufacturing companies and the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standards-setting body.

According to Metaverse Standards Forum chairman and Nvidia CEO Neil Trevett, the group welcomes participation from a variety of companies including from the crypto industry.

However, Apple's involvement is not seen in the group's list even though the iPhone company is among those who will be the dominant player in the metaverse world race.

Citing several sources, Apple is rumored to be and will launch its mixed reality headset at the end of this year or next year.

The source added that Apple has given a glimpse of the headset but is still not open to discuss its plans.

So far, Apple's official has not issued any statement on the matter.

It is believed that the Apple device will give competition to Meta in becoming the main leader of the metaverse later.

In addition, gaming companies Roblox and Niantic also failed to be found on the list, let alone the crypto -based metaverse platform, namely The Sandbox or Decentraland.
