The Ukrainian army claims to have won against the Russian army after launching a new attempt to reclaim Snake Island in the Black Sea.
In a post on Facebook, the Ukrainian army's southern operations command said it had launched a targeted attack using multiple powers on the island causing heavy losses to the Russian army.
Satellite images by US-based Maxar Technologies show damage to towers on the southern tip of Snake Island and vegetation burning in several locations.
Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform reported that the attack had damaged the Russian Pantsir anti-aircraft system, radar station and vehicles on the small island.
The Ukrainian army announced that it had carried out a total of 150 attacks in various areas on Tuesday that killed 49 Russian soldiers.
To your knowledge, Snake Island had previously been held captive by Russia at the start of the war.
Last week, Ukraine alleged it had sunk a Russian tugboat, Vasili Beh, which was transporting crew members and weapons to the island.
It was also previously reported that Kiev launched guided missile attacks on three gas platforms in the Black Sea south of Odesa in an attempt to undermine Russia's maritime control.
