Throw 1 Take 7, Tesla Actively Recruiting Workers In Singapore Again?

Tesla Inc made the surprise decision to vigorously conduct recruiting activities in Singapore, after acting to fire the country’s branch manager a few weeks ago.

This is seen as contrary to the announcement of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Elon Musk who wants to cut 10% of the workforce because he has a ‘bad premonition’ about economic growth.

Through the display on Tesla’s LinkedIn, there are 7 open positions namely marketing specialist, public relations assistant, event manager, delivery operations specialist, sales assistant and project manager for corporate social responsibility roles.

It is worth mentioning that a few weeks ago, Tesla Singapore fired its branch manager, Christopher Bousigues, who had been with the electric car (EV) company for a year.

Bousigues stated in his personal LinkedIn account that the dismissal was closely linked to staff management as Musk announced about his bad hunch.

However, Bousigues was not alone when Tesla also acted to make a 'mass layoff' at the Sparks gigafactory plant, Nevada in addition to closing several production plants around the world.

Generally, the dismissal of some staff especially in the human resources department and software engineers is a big surprise as these positions play an important role.

In fact, Musk said the dismissal would affect production by 3.5% as the number of staff per hour is still expected to increase.
