Rumors of an assassination attempt against the head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, are said to have been successfully debunked.
According to sources from Russia, the black limo that Putin was riding in was attacked and a sound like an explosion was heard in the front left tire of the vehicle.
The Russian leader was said to be unharmed and several arrests were made by Putin's security officers during the incident.
Different sources also reported that Putin was on his way back to his official residence flanked by an entourage of security officers.
It was explained in detail where the first escort car of the group was blocked by an ambulance and the second escort vehicle was blocked suddenly.
Although the limo that Putin was riding in was 'attacked', the driver managed to control the vehicle to ensure that the most powerful man in Russia was safe.
So far the Kremlin has not released any further statements about the attackers or any connection to geopolitical issues between Ukraine.
In separate news, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was also involved in an accident when the car he was riding in was hit by a motorcycle.
Detailing the incident, a passenger car collided with a convoy accompanying Zelensky in the Ukrainian capital.
Spokesman Sergii Nikiforov said passengers had received first aid while Zelensky was taken to hospital by ambulance.
A statement from the President of Ukraine said Zelensky did not suffer any serious injuries.
