'Russian suicide bomber hits Ukraine again.'
Sources from Ukraine reported that the Russian side caused 5 explosions in Kyiv by launching a 'kamikaze drone'.
Explaining the situation, mayor Vitali Klitschko said that at approximately 11.30 this morning there were 5 explosions that occurred in the center of Shevchenkivskiy region, Kyiv.
So far no casualties have been reported but Klitschko confirmed that one of the explosions came from a drone that was successfully shot down by a Ukrainian volunteer.
According to a source from the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, the cause of the explosion was because the Russian side launched a 'kamikaze drone*'.
*A small aerial weapon that resembles a drone and acts as a controllable bomb, exploding after hitting the target.
He condemned the Russian action, saying Vladimir Putin's government was "desperate" to show power and asked for more aid "as soon as possible" to strengthen Ukraine's air defenses.
This attack was largely a follow-up to a series of missile launches by Russia a few weeks ago after Putin accused Ukraine of bombing a bridge in Crimea.
It has reignited the war tension between the 2 countries that started in February 2022.
