US-based cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase is set to expand its services in Australia by launching a new local entity and network of services for crypto investors.

Nana Murugesan, Coinbase's vice president of international and business development expressed his confidence in the local market bearing fruit during bullish conditions.

In fact, the awareness of the people in Australia that cryptocurrency is the future of finance is the motivation for them to take this step.

To begin with, they will build local infrastructure by incorporating a local entity (Coinbase Australia Pty Ltd) to provide digital currency exchange services with the Australian Transaction Reporting and Analysis Centre, the country's financial intelligence agency.

It is understood that Coinbase will provide Australian crypto traders with new fast payments for local bank accounts, access to trading platforms and 24/7 support services.

As for Australia, Coinbase will also focus on the local area in a few months.

Meanwhile, Coinbase also entered into an agreement with RMIT University's Blockchain Innovation Hub to further examine the potential of Web3 in Australia.

As a result, the crypto exchange is collaborating with the University of New South Wales and others to create courses and support research programs.

In the meantime, Coinbase will also study the crypto policy of a country that has a clear direction in order to further expand its company to Asia.
