Iran has agreed to supply weapons to Russia including providing missiles and a large number of drones, according to Tehran's top official.
Citing a Reuters report, this follows an agreement reached on October 6, where Iran's First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber and two of his top officials flew to Moscow to discuss the delivery of the weapons.
This action is indirectly seen to increase the anger of the United States and other western powers.
It is understood that Russia has requested more drones and ballistic missiles from Iran with better accuracy during the meeting.
One of the agreed drones is the Shahed-136, a weapon used as a 'kamikaze' air-to-ground attack aircraft.
The Fateh-110 and Zolfaghar are Iranian short-range surface-to-surface ballistic missiles capable of striking targets at ranges between 300 km and 700 km.
Earlier, Iran had denied selling drones to Russia that it said had been used in several attacks on Ukraine in recent times.
However, Tehran at the same time insists that it has the right to sell weapons abroad because restrictions on the sale of weapons contained in the 2015 Iran nuclear deal expire in 2020.
