'It's normal for young souls who are used to sitting near the office and have to look for a challenge.'
The independent and non-executive director of Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd, Noor Azri Noor Azerai confirmed his resignation to focus on personal goals.
The resignation was filed with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, and saw him become one of the youngest company directors to take office and resign in the country.
For the record, Noor Azri joined the Serba Dinamik board on 25 November 2021 after chairman Datuk Mohamed Ilyas Pakeer Mohamed and independent director Johan Mohamed Ishak resigned.
In general, Serba Dinamik was involved in an audit controversy with external auditors KPMG which saw the company subject to Practice Note 17 status in January earlier this year.
At that time, KPMG found that there were unrecorded transactions worth RM4.54 billion to the company's independent directors, leading to a court dispute.
Following the issue, Datuk Seri Azerai Ahmad who is Noor Azri's father has appointed the 23-year-old as an independent and non-executive director of the company.
We would also like to inform you that Noor Azri also holds the same position in other companies such as Malaysian Genomics Resource Center Bhd, Bintai Kinden Corp Bhd and Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd.
In the meantime, as of this writing, Serba Dinamik shares are trading flat at 2 sen with a company capitalization of RM77.65 million.
