The main financial intelligence body in Russia known as The Rosfinmonitoring or Federal Financial Monitoring Service labeled the social media company Meta Platform Inc as an organization involved in terrorism and extremist activities.
Russia has previously banned the use of Facebook, Instagram and Twitter in its country but allows access to WhatsApp.
