Bored Ape NFT Appears In Adidas World Cup Trailer, Shows Son, Messi & Benzema


 The famous Adidas brand has reportedly included the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) character nicknamed Indigo Herz in a promotional trailer published with soccer stars Lionel Messi, Heung-min Son and Karim Benzema.

Adidas was previously understood to have purchased Indigo Herz or BAYC #8774 for 46 Ethereum (ETH) worth $156,000 in September 2021.

Returning to the original topic, the promotional ad featured Herz on a cereal box held by Benzema, while British rap icon Stormzy made a cameo appearance as the driver of the coach who came to pick up the players competing in the match.

Meanwhile, Adidas Into the Metaverse NFT Phase 1 holders are given physical utility in the form of exclusive clothing items such as Gmoney's black hoodie and orange beanie while phase 2 will be given access to the metaverse experience.

It was also revealed that Adidas has signed another deal with Yuga Labs, popular influencer GMoney and the NFT Punks Comics collection to expand its efforts in metaverse engagement.
