Crypto exchange platform, Coinbase Wallet has reportedly refused to support some digital assets such as Ripple (XRP) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) from December 5, 2022.

It is understood that Coinbase Wallet has included a number of networks in its platform, among which are Ethereum (ETH), BNB chain, Polygon, Solana (SOL) and Arbitrum.

However, Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum Classic (ETC), Stellar (XLM) and Ripple (XRP) are among the digital assets that have low usage in the platform.

Due to the following issues, Coinbase Wallet will only offer the digital asset until December 5th only and henceforth it will be a risky thing to keep it, the platform team stressed.

However, users are allowed to access their holdings before that date but need to do so during the Coinbase recovery process.

Therefore, the user should import his recovery phrase on a non-custodial* crypto wallet provider that supports this network.

*have sole control over the private key, which in turn controls your cryptocurrency and proves the funds are yours

While Coinbase Wallet is a self-custody crypto wallet that allows users to store crypto assets or non-fungible tokens (NFT).

Although Coinbase previously sided with Ripple in the lawsuit, the platform including other US-based crypto companies have delisted the digital asset.
