The Shanghai Disney Resort implemented the suspension of operations by closing the main theme park and surrounding areas as a precautionary measure against Covid-19.

In fact, the visitors who attended the theme park were instructed not to move freely until the Covid-19 test obtained a negative result, the Shanghai government commented on the official WeChat account.

He added that visitors who have visited the theme park since October 27 are required to undergo a three-day Covid-19 test three times each day.

Meanwhile, the Shanghai government and the Disney resort have yet to issue further statements regarding the following issues, but they will continue operations with a reduced workforce.

This follows because the theme park still allows the trapped visitors to play games there even though the closure has been made.

It is understood that the closure will affect the Shanghai Disney Resort as it previously had to close its business for more than three months.

According to different sources, the theme park was closed for two days in November last year with more than 30,000 visitors trapped inside after the authorities ordered them to do a Covid-19 test.

The string, local authorities across China imposed extreme measures to reduce the spread of the virus as soon as the number of cases increased.

Meanwhile, the Universal Resort in the capital Beijing reopened on Monday after a five-day closure as a precautionary measure against Covid-19.
