Bank Of America Misses Out On Getting "Bitcoin Bank America" Trademark?

"Someone already stamped this trademark early on, we have to fight for it later."

It was revealed by the United States (US) Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) lawyer, Mike Kondoudis, that there is an individual who has filed a trademark to establish "Bitcoin Bank America".

The following establishment is intended to offer cryptocurrency exchange services in the US.

However, the lawyer thinks Bank of America (BOfA) may not agree with the trademark application made by the individual.

This follows because the matter will destroy the goal of BOfA which also intends to create crypto services in the future.

Based on USPTO data, the registration date for the trademark is on December 27 while the application filing date is on January 3, but BOfA has not made any claim to use the name "Bitcoin Bank America" other than "Bitcoin Bank".

In the meantime, most individuals think that the use of the name "Bitcoin Bank" will prevent BoFA from winning the dispute related to the trademark.

As context, BOfA has filed patents for blockchain, crypto services including digital currency wallets after studying crypto for years.
